The Mission of the Hampton Sheriffs Office is to safely and securely maintain all city correctional facilities, thus ensuring the safety of the public, to ensure safe and secure operation of all courts, and to guarantee timely and accurate service of civil and criminal warrants.
The Hampton Sheriff's Office has one hundred and eighty-four deputies and civilian personnel in four major divisions to maintain the custody, control and movement of inmates; serve civil and criminal processes and court orders; maintain security for court facilities, judges, jurors and other trial participants; seize and dispose of property under court order.
The Hampton Sheriff’s Office is committed to Zero Tolerance on any form of Sexual Abuse in its Correctional Facilities.
