Moton Early Childhood Center receives donation from New Vision Pioneers

New Vision Pioneers recently made a donation of supplies to the Moton Early Childhood Center clinic.

Mrs. Nita White, the leader of the local organization of the New Vision Pioneers, arrived at the early childhood center to deliver the generous gift of various PPE and other supplies, and she was thrilled to realize that the center is, in fact, where she attended 1st grade, then Moton Elementary.

“I can't stop grinning,” White said, as she joined principal Joanne Drew to peek in on our littlest learners in their classrooms. “You are touching our future, and it is my honor to come back and contribute where I started.”

In describing her organization and its various acts of community service, White said, “We are just a group of retired folks who never retired.”

"I watched from the hallway as Mrs. White helped deliver the boxes of supplies to the school clinic,” said Ann Bane, director of community and legislative relations for Hampton City Schools. “She did not miss the opportunity to ask about additional needs at Moton and how her organization might meet them. At that moment, I knew that I was witnessing the beginning of a wonderful partnership. That is exactly what I love about this job and our amazing community!”
