Peninsula Jaycees gifts bench to Phillips Elementary School

On behalf of Phillips Elementary School, Stephanie Sutton, assistant principal, received  a Trex® bench from the Peninsula Jaycees. The Trex® bench is made of recyclable, single-use plastic, such as plastic grocery bags, water bottles, and bubble wrap. The bench can be used indoors or outdoors, and has been mounted with an engraved plaque from the Peninsula Jaycees.

“We are thankful for the Jaycees’ bench donation,” said assistant principal Stephanie Sutton. “I have worked closely with Mrs. Kuemper for several years. She has been a supportive parent, and we are thankful to her and the organization for selecting Phillips to be one of the recipients of a bench that our students and staff will be able to use for years to come.”

The goal of the Peninsula Jaycees is to provide opportunities and challenges for those who want to create a positive impact in the Hampton community.
